About The Kitchen
The Kitchen is run by Net Perspective, a full-service web design/development agency located in College Station, TX.
When we began open-sourcing some of the tools we wrote for our internal use we hosted them on our main website. However, once we began to write commercial software we realized a separate site, where our products would have a proper home, would be neccessary. Thus was The Kitchen born.
About The Name
At Net Perspective, we're big on harmony. We write code and build designs that all have to come together to serve the whole. A kitchen, where disparate ingredients are blended to form a unique new creation, is a perfect metaphor for this approach.
A kitchen is also a place to experiment with new ideas and improve on existing recipes. Many of the products hosted at The Kitchen are the result of our own experimentation and many are on-going projects that will continue to be improved over time.
